Quiet Luxury in Two Transitional Bathrooms

In this Dallas townhome, every bathroom was treated as its own design moment. We didn’t match materials from room to room, but we did keep the vision cohesive. These spaces are a study in contrast and restraint, using marble, porcelain, and carefully selected fixtures to create bathrooms that feel elevated without feeling showy. The goal was timeless design with a softened edge, layered with texture and just enough tonal variation to keep it interesting.

Guest Bathroom

Guest Bathroom 1

This guest bathroom was designed to feel calm and collected. The palette is quiet, but never flat. We used honed Carrara hexagon tile on the floor to bring subtle dimension and a soft sense of movement.

Guest Bathroom 5

For the shower walls, we selected large porcelain tile in a soft grey tone. The finish has just enough texture to feel natural, but it stays crisp and clean. A recessed niche keeps the lines uninterrupted while adding functional detail.

Guest Bathroom 7

On the shower floor, Carrara penny tile creates a shift in scale and adds a tactile, grounding layer. The tone-on-tone variation in the marble ties back to the hex tile and keeps the room feeling cohesive.

At the vanity, we kept things simple with satin nickel fixtures and a squared faucet silhouette. It adds a modern note to the otherwise traditional cabinetry without stealing attention.

Guest Bathroom 2

Howe Double Tube sconces were placed to frame the mirror and offer flattering light without visual clutter. The lighting stays architectural and tailored, which fits the mood of the space.

Guest Bathroom 4

We finished with a Vintage Rounded Rectangle Pivot Mirror. The soft shape complements the linear elements throughout the room, bringing in just the right amount of curve and reflection.

Primary Bathroom

Primary Bathroom 1

The primary bathroom was designed to feel a little more tailored, a little more architectural. We brought in Calcutta marble in large-scale tile to create a bright, elegant foundation that still carries natural movement. The stained wood vanity adds warmth and weight, grounding the space without overpowering it. Twin mirrors and satin nickel fixtures keep the symmetry crisp and modern.

Primary Bathroom 2

In the shower, we continued the Calcutta marble on the walls in a clean brick pattern. The veining becomes the focal point, made even more striking against the simplicity of the satin nickel fixtures. The design is minimal, but never flat. A single sconce in polished metal adds a sculptural glow, bringing texture to the wall and a small moment of sparkle.
